The metallic trend has been in for quite some time now... or at least since the 2016 Met Gala with it's stylish theme of 'Manus X Machina', encouraging attendees to sport futuristic, and even technologically advanced, wardrobe pieces which ended up leading to a red carpet with LOTS of fashionable metallic vibes!! We loved the metallic trend then and still love it now. Gold, silver, anything shiny is totally in right now and we hope it's here to stay. This trend is unique, fun, and sometimes daring to embrace but you should embrace it ;) Check out how we sport our personal takes on this trend in two different shiny outfits...

I am all about metallic and love to take daring choices when sporting the trend, like combining the two shiny colors of gold and silver with each other in the same outfit, as I do in my featured look. And while its's fun to combine metallic pieces, the beauty of metallic is that just ONE metallic piece can change the entire vibe of an outfit and is capable of making a fashion statement. In today's post, I am sporting my adorable and very shiny gold leather jacket and decided to pair this strong metallic piece on the top of my outfit with my shiny silver Common Project sneakers on the bottom. In between these two metallic statement pieces of my outfit, I chose to stick with the color black, incorporating a little more metallic pattern of gold in my LPA silk gold polka dot top and finally my very comfortable Norma Kamali black maxi skirt with pleats & slits, which gave the outfit some movement & a feminine, more dressy, vibe to my metallic look.

Nothing beats a metallic look! After all, who doesn’t want to shine like a diamond...;) You don’t need to overload on metallic shine, like Soph mentions above, just a signature metallic piece can set the tone for an outfit and also complete it! I think the metallic trend is so fun and flirty and I love standing out in a crowd with a glittering metallic piece. For my metallic look I chose to sport my Nasty Gal  ‘Grand Master' metallic gold bomber. I just love the classic sporty feel to this jacket with its edgy flair due to the glimmering gold fabric and red/navy bands by the wrists and waist. I paired this outstanding bomber with my red L’Academie X Revolve silk pants and under my bomber I wore my fave ‘Wionna’ cropped sweater by Again. I love this sweater because it goes with EVERYTHING, is lightweight, and so it is ideal for this time of year! I finished my outfit with my fab Stella McCartney Faux leather platform brogues shoes in a star print. If I have one piece of advice, it's that everyone must own at least one pair of these ever so trendy staple platform shoes that have the power to make a statement with any outfit...and they also make you taller ;)
