DANCED IN OUR FREE PEOPLE PANTS
We are so excited to be back in NYC after our brief spring travel hiatus in Florida!!...and we're even more excited to finally post about two pairs of new Spring Free People pants that we are certain we'll be sporting all season long! We've both been fans of Free People since we have been young girls & have loved watching the ways in which the brand has evolved and grown over the years.
We recently got to express our love for this brand through one of our favorite activities, aka dancing, at the #FPFreeStyle dance party where we were both clad in a pair of our favorite new Free People pants from their latest Spring collection. We danced the night away in these pants and love them so much that we decided to dedicate today’s post to their awesomeness, and more specifically, their versatility. Check out how we each sport the Free People pants we wore to the dance party, at the dance party, and in three additional ways…very versatile indeed...
The #FPFreeStyle Dance Party
1 Pair of Free People Pants, 3 Different Looks!
The wide leg pant trend has been in for a while and when I saw my featured (very) wide leg half denim/ half patterned Free People 'Coming and Going' pants, I immediately fell in love! They are truly one of a kind and like no other pants that I have ever seen before, which is part of why I am so obsessed with them. They are denim in the back with a gorgeous yellow pastel pattern on the front. The pants are ’semi’ high waisted, definitely needing a longer crop top to avoid showing any mid-drift...another element of the pants I love! I cannot tell you how many compliments I have gotten on them in the short period of time I have owned them….they are true show-stoppers ;)
To the #FPFreeStyle dance party event, I chose to dress up my outfit a little bit and wore a white lace mock neck (slightly longer) crop top with the pants, showing just some of my mid-drift. This top choice gave a springy & feminine feel to my look and was perfect for a night of mingling & dancing at the event. I finished off this outfit with a pair of chic denim heeled booties, that could barely be seen under the wide leg of my pants, hehe.
#FPFreeStyle Dance Party Look
These Free People pants are so versatile and I know I will be wearing them in different ways all Spring. Check out the three different, additional looks that I paired them with below...
For my first look, I did something that I love to do - pairing denim, with more denim. I wore a denim patchwork button up top, tucked into my Free People pants, giving my look a more masculine vibe but also making it very stylish and fashion forward - a look that could be worn dressed up or casually. I decided to wear the look more casually, wearing my Jaggar denim flat slip ons. I finished the look off with my Choked by a Thread denim choker & a pair of my classic Céline sunglasses. I see my first look as being a sort of mesh between my second and third looks in the sense that it gives off a combination of casual, transitional, springy, masculine, feminine, flirty & sophisticated vibes all in one outfit.

For my second look, I went with a different vibe than my first, sporting a less springy, less sophisticated, way more comfortable (and warmer) transitional look, with my neutral colored light weight cowl neck sweater, perfect for the weather we are experience right now as it is a light sweater and is very comfortable, baggy, and chic looking - especially paired with the wide leg Free People jeans. I decided to stick with a neutral colored theme for this look - sporting a pair of adorable neutral colored heeled booties, and a pair of stunning frame sunglasses with a neutral tone on the frame. This look is so effortless but also looks presentable, so chic & put together, even though it is essentially just a baggy sweater on top of baggy wide legged jeans - love it!
For my third & final look, I wanted to make to give off super flirty & springy, and also some feminine & casual vibes to my outfit. I wore my maroon/ burgundy colored Knits for Love & Lemons 'Rivington crop top, proving how these Free People pants are definitely only “semi” high-waisted ;) This crop top showed a good amount of my mid drift/torso, and this, paired with the pants gave my look a very girly, flirty, and casual vibe. I love the way the dark red color of my crop top conrasted with the light yellow print of the pants, really standing out and creating a beautiful color scheme that gets me excited for the months of Spring ahead. This tighter fitting crop top allowed for a more slimming style of my look, accentuated with the extremely wide legs of the pants. For shoes, I wore my white Isabel Marant sneakers, to emphasize the casual, everyday feel of the look I was going. Blocked the rays with my, also white, Wildfox 'Dakota' round sunglasses.
...finally...with each of these looks, I sported some of my favorite 'vintage gold' Madewell jewelry pieces. Staple and affordable pieces that are stylish, well made, and can go with any outfit, anytime, anywhere. As you can see, I am sporting them in all of the featured above looks...huge fan of Madewell jewelery <3
I have been wearing Free People clothing for as long as I can remember! I just love the casual easy trends and wearable looks constantly created by the brand. I love, love, love my eggplant colored Free People 'Dream On' gauze pants from the latest Spring collection! Not only are these pants so cute and so my style...but they are also extremely comfortable and literally can go with anything! Just like Soph's Free People pants, my pants can also be worn dress up or dressed down. These pants are da bomb and, as you can and will see from the pics, can be worn in several ways, giving off different vibes with each look! I love when a piece of clothing is so versatile that it becomes a 'go to' item in your closet... I have a feeling these pants will be playing this role in my closet in the seasons ahead.
To the #FPFreeStyle dance party event I paired my pants with a very comfy Iro the 'Gretta' top and wore my sleek and sexy Steve Madden 'Bollie' leopard booties, which can make an outfit on their own! To complete my dance look, I threw on my Samantha Wills Nightfall hoop earrings. Feeling comfy & trendy, I was ready to dance the night away with my sis!

For this look, I wanted a cool and casual look, something you could wear to the office and then out to dinner later. To do this, I wore my Monrow Stripe Choker Tee, which I love for its springy stripes and built in choker collar. I added my Current Elliott 'The Mechanic" Jean Jacket which I wear legit all Spring long because it looks great with anything! I chose 'my go to got to have them' Common Project 'Achilles' Three Strap Leather Sneaker. We all know how much I adore these sneakers by the amount of times I have worn them. I finished my look with my Channel 'Le Boy' Shoulder bag in Cobalt blue. Although you cant buy this bag online go to your nearest Chanel to see all the fun colored boy bags they have!
For this look, I went with a more sultry feeling ensemble...something appropriate for a Saturday event or a dinner out with friends! With my Free People pants I wore my MLM Label 'Pillar' top, which is amazing because of its cute gingham print and sexy off the shoulder style. I love this top because it makes its own statement and I thought the pattern of the pants and the gingham looked great together. I finished off this look with another 'go to' pair of shoes for me...my Gucci 'Princetown" fur-lined loafers. If you don't own please click below and buy...I promise, you wont regret the splurge!!
For my third look, I chose a very simple outfit, my favorite kind, where less is more. For this final look, I wore my oh so sleek Cotton Candy LA Satin Bomber Jacket in the perfect shade of dusty rose. I wore the bomber alone and allowed it to reveal some of my torso...giving the illusion that it was a blouse when it is actually a jacket! I finished this look with a pair of Dorateymur 'Sybil' butter soft suede booties. Although these are boots, they easily can be worn well into the Spring due to the soft pleasing shade of beige, that stays in style no matter what the season. Dorateymur is an awesome brand and all their shoes are super trendy and super comfortable, be sure to check them out if you haven't already! I linked a similar pair of Dorateymur 'Sybil' Leek booties below.
