One of the most popular (and personally beloved) trends of this past spring/summer 2016 was the 'pajama by day' trend - aka pajamas became appropriate, and extremely stylish, to wear anywhere, not only in the privacy of your own home or in the bedroom. It has become stylish to wear full on matching top and bottom pajama sets as an outfit to wear out and about. Thankfully, this trend is continuing into Autumn 2016 and is one of our favorites. That being said, this pajama set trend is the fabulous trend in which we decided to dedicate today's post. Check out the two very different pajama sets we wore, and how they clashed but also meshed together, while snapping pics in a small park by NYC's Christopher Street...

I went with a silk pajama set from one of my all time favorite designers, Diane Von Furstenberg. I love her clothes so much and I love the way they fit me / how versatile they are even more! I feel comfortable wearing them to a job interview or work while simultaneously I feel awesome wearing them for a day exploring the city or a night out with friends. In today's post I am wearing a beautifully printed Diane Von Furstenberg navy and orange silk blouse, buttoned (almost) all the way to the top, paired with matching navy and orange patterned DVF wide leg silk pants - the matching top and bottom give the look the pajama trend feel. I decided to wear my look with a pair of simple, not too high, Coach pumps in a neutral tan color to give me a little height and still keep the outfit casual.

One great thing about this DVF look is that you can wear it with the shirt untucked from the pants (lending to a more causal feel), or tucked into the pants (giving the look a more sophisticated/clean/jumpsuit type feel). I love the colors navy and orange together...not only because they were my college colors but also because they are perfect colors for the Fall season. Also, the pattern of the stripes, extending from the bottom of the top and continuing on the pants, gives a very elongating vibe to the outfit, which is always a plus :) I always feel comfortable and elegant at the same time when I am wearing Diane's clothes and I must say that this look is super comfortable as the silk is light and breezy giving a beautiful looseness to the set. The other bonus about this set is that the patterns are simple enough that they can also be paired separately, with other basic solid colored items - making this look even more versatile.

I went with a flouncy, feminine, floral printed pajama set for my pajama trend look. I love how comfortable I felt in this baggy look and also how I could dress it up with different accessories, like my super fun metallic pointed toe flats and my Choked by a Threat black lace 'Poka Dot' thick choker, making my outfit casual but also flirty and fun with the added accessories. I love the way this more feminine and flirty look matched and clashed with Soph's more sophisticated and masculine pajama set look and I love how the floral print and striped print - with all of the different colors - matched together. I loved galavanting around the city in this adorable on trend pajama set look and am so excited to continue sporting this trend in different ways throughout the season.
