SHADES OF BLUE
The color blue is always in style, it has many different shades, gives off various different vibes & is just a cool color all around. So what’s better then getting to wear an entire outfit consisting of different shades of this favorite color?…not much ;) Lucky for us, this trend of sporting different shades of blue - from dark navy to light pastels - has been poppin’ this season. Check out how we both deck ourselves in different shades of blue & a few other colors too…
I went for a sophisticated, transitional look in my 'shades of blue' outfit - combining all different shades of blue and even different clothing fabrics together to create one beautiful outfit! Becoming less and less relevant as we enter the warm spring weather, I wore my beautiful two-toned dark blue & light blue Unreal Fur faux fur coat, which literally exemplifies different shades of blue. You’ll see that I sported my look with & without this coat. Underneath, I stuck with dark blue on top, wearing a beautiful velvet LPA button up top which I tucked into an equally beautiful pair of light blue Krisa side slit pants with a silky texture. I am so obsessed with the slits in these pants and the flowing movement that they create when you’re walking in them. The contrast of the dark top & light bottom of this outfit matched with the contrast of the two-toned color block in my coat, really giving a strong & definitive tone to my entire outfit.
To add to the sophistication of my look, I wore my House of Harlow 1960 x Revolve striped ‘Ossie’ scarf wrapped around my neck to make it look like I was wearing a very thick choker. The stripes of this scarf gave the outfit a little pattern and a slight from the solid blue colors. I decided to wear it tightly to give the choker effect, but I also could have worn it like Char wears her scarf, more loosely around my neck, letting the long pieces hang. I finished off my look with a pair of adorable white, breathable Rag & Bone ‘Margot’ booties. I love pairing the colors white & blue together (reminds me of Greece) and decided that these booties were the perfect finishing touch to my outfit, adding some height and matching the white color in my scarf. Finally, I wore my gold Madewell hoop earrings, adding one last piece of sophistication to my look.
There is something incredibly soothing about the color blue and I think it is the perfect color for spring. It is an inviting color and looks fantastic when combined together; kinda like the ocean and the sky!!! The color blue flatters many people and is so easy to wear because there are endless combos that can be put together. For my look I wore my cobalt blue Maje pleasy piped pants….I love these pants because they are legit as comfortable as sweat pants but can be dressed up or down! I've been obsessed with the dressed up "track suit" look that has been such a trend lately and happy I found the perfect pair! With the pants I wore my palest of sky blue Equipment slim signature blouse….So soft and such a pleasing shade of blue. For a little pop of color I threw on my navy House of Harlow silk paisley scarf…. I finished my look with my white Attico Monica patent leather mules that since I bought them have become an immediate staple of my closet because they can be dressed up or dressed down and are sooo cute!! You guys should check out other Attico looks... there stuff is to DIE for cute. Deff one of me new favorite brands :) Sailing into the summer with shades of blue!! Can’t wait to wear more of this pleasing color!!
