PLAID IS RAD
Plaid is rad!!…c'mon, we all know this!! And if you don't know this OR if you disagree with us…then that’s kinda just too bad!! Lol, rhyming is fun. Anyways, whatever way you want to look at is, PLAID - as a pattern and/or a print - has always been a vital part of fashion design. No matter the weather, the season, the era, or the circumstance - plaid is a necessary and popular part of style. Therefore, today we dedicate our post to all things plaid!
Plaid on plaid on plaid...on plaid on plaid on plaid on plaid on stars? Star printed shoes that is. Lol. I love the whole plaid on plaid (or pattern on pattern) look if ya can't tell. I really like to clash :D For this plaid look, I clashed in the most stylish of ways, wearing a green/navy/brown color melody plaid wool coat from American Apparel, draped over a navy blue colored look. This look consisted of my gorgeous navy Elizabeth and James 'Fritz' plaid pants, with a simple (and light) navy blue sweater tucked into them, revealing the beautiful belt buckle detail of these pants. As if my plaid on plaid look wasn't enough, I decided to add another layer of patterned fun to my outfit by wearing another one of my favorite patterns: STARS. This starry outfit addition were my awesome platform star printed denim Stella McCartney slip on sneakers. BE WARNED: These shoes are selling out QUICK & are also on SALE, so if you're digging them, get your hands on them ASAP via THIS LINK... or the link above, and of course by visiting the bottom of this post/ our Shop page.
I decided that puff on plaid was more the look I wanted to go for than Soph's plaid on plaid overload...which I ALSO love...just a little bit more her vibe than mine ;) I made the statement, centerpiece of my outfit a beautiful red plaid dress that was just long enough to cover most of my thighs. There's nothing like a cute plaid dress to rock during a casual day in NYC :) Over my dress, I threw on my adorable, cozy, and also animal like Charlotte Simone grey & black fuzz jacket - adding a little bit of fun to my outfit and toning down the color vibes with grey and black to match my beloved, and so practical, black leather Christian Loubiton flat black ankle boots. I absolutely love the chain details of these ankle boots, adding a bit of edgy flare to any outfit I wear them with, including this one. I love how I was able to get the perfect mix of feminine and masculine to my plaid look by pairing a dress with boots like these.
WHEN CLAD IN PLAID YOU ALWAYS LOOK RAD ;)
Plaid prints and patterns are never going out of style. Plaid is just one of those staple aspects of fashion that will always relevant. It's important to remember the importance of this fantastic pattern and all the fun ways it can and has been played around with in fashion. It is an example of a part of fashion that has been around forever and is still ever changing within the industry. Plaid is a year round thing! It's for men, women, children, and everyone in between. Pretty awesome versatility, huh? Be sure to check out below and our Shop page to shop our featured looks & other plaid looks that we are lovin' for this season... or any other season for that matter.
