VIBIN' IN VELVET

We are definitely 'vibing' with the fact that velvet is one of the most popular fashion trends of the season...especially with the holidays coming up! Once a fashion trend of the 90's, velvet has made an epic comeback that we are quite excited about. For some reason velvet just has a tendency to remind us of that cheery time of the year, that time of the year being the one that we are currently entering... so we couldn't be happier that this trend is (currently) POPPIN'. Decked out in different velvet looks, check out how we vibe in this fabulous fabric that is velvet ;)

SOPHIE'S LOOK:

I decided to sport a (pretty much) head to toe velvet look...a hunter green head to toe velvet look to be exact. Hunter green is one of my favorite colors...and also perfect for the holiday season :) This entirely velvet look composed of my Topshop velvet rib textured tied sweater paired with my Topshop velvet wide leg pants, both in the same color of hunter green - making my outfit look like one fluid hunter green velvet suit, which I loved 8-) With my high-waisted velvet pants, I wore a neutral colored taupe crop top tank underneath my sweater, a black statement choker, and another piece of velvet, my beautiful light purple Topshop 'Krazy' pointed toe velvet boots, adding a unique pop of color to my hunter green dominated outfit. I added a final touch of fancy to my outfit with my beautiful Alexander McQueen skull black & gold studded box clutch, matching with my choker and adding a perfect dose of chic to my all velvet look.

CHARLOTTE'S LOOK:

Just like Soph, I am a huge fan of the overall look. That being said, I decided to sport this awesome olive green suspender/overall look to vibe in some velvet. My Nasty Gal velvet suspenders and my No. 21 star embellished lace up shoes served as the statement pieces of my look so all I needed to do to complete it was to wear a simple black turtleneck underneath my suspenders...although this turtleneck is especially fun because of its bell sleeves :) I am so into the velvet trend this season and can't wait to rock it through the holidays and beyond.
